Chicken BBQ and Concession Stand Update

Good Evening Everyone,

Quick updates. First, our Chicken BBQ tickets have been given to all High School and Junior High players. Please help to sell those by Sept. 17th. This is a big fundraiser that goes a long way for the program, so thank you all for your help in spreading the word and selling tickets! For more information, please see the attached handout. You can reach out to Todd/Jen McCoy for any additional questions. Thank you both for taking the lead on this fundraiser this year!

Second update is from our concession stand leaders Amy, Michele, and Maureen (thank you for leading this initiative!).

We still need shifts covered for the concession stand! Reminder that we are asking every high school family to cover two shifts.

The Concession stand is our biggest money maker and it takes everyone’s help to make it run effectively and smoothly! We also need more hot food donations for games and a few spots on the donation list are still open as well.  If you haven’t signed up yet, please check out the sign up genius links for each one.

We greatly appreciate your time and donations!  If you have any questions you can email Amy at vixen137@comcast.net.

Please use the links below to sign up. Thanks!

Quad Camp Update

Good Evening Everyone,

As a reminder, Quad Camp starts on Monday (16th) and will run through Thursday (19th) from 6-8:30pm at the Hempfield Quads. The cost is $55 per player. Please bring your payment, along with the attached waiver, on Monday. Checks are preferred and can be made out to “Etown Boys Soccer”. Please do your best to arrive early (5:15-5:30), so that we can collect payment and waivers before our first session. Remember to bring plenty of water, cleats, shin guards, and wear Etown soccer gear/colors. Open Gyms will also be cancelled this week due to Quad Camp.

Address: 300 Church St. Landisville, PA. 17538

Quad Camp

Good Evening!

Sorry for all the updates this week, but I’ve got one more for you. Quad Camp is just over a month away and we are very close to having all the details finalized. We have a great lineup of college coaches so far from Etown, LVC, York, Alvernia, Desales, Grove City, LBC, and a few more to be added soon! The camp will run Monday – Thursday June 16th-19th at the Hempfield Quads from 6-8:30pm. Each night both our middle school and high school teams will have the opportunity to work with a different college coach and scrimmage one of the other high/middle school teams attending (Hempfield, Manheim Central, Penn Manor).

Address: 300 Church St. Landisville, PA 17538

For those interested in playing college soccer, this is a great way to meet college coaches and put your skills on full display. For everyone, it is a great way to experience high level training from many different coaches with many different styles and start the summer off on the right foot as we look to build towards a successful fall season. Not to mention, have the ability to scrimmage against schools we will be playing against this fall!

Cost will be determined based upon how many players attend the camp. The more people we get, the less it will be for everyone. Assuming we have similar numbers to last year, it should be around the $45-55 range. Money will be collected upon arrival the first night of camp. In order to determine our numbers and final cost per player, I need everyone to sign up by filling out the form below as soon as possible (June 9th at the latest).

Remember this is for rising 7th-12th graders. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Summer Open Gym Schedule & Parent Remind

Good Evening Everyone,

Attached is the open gym schedule for the summer. We will be on either Jane Hoover Turf or Thompson Turf on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the summer, leading straight into our preseaon beginning on Aug. 11th. Make sure to check which field we are on before you arrive. Times ranging from 6-8pm to 7-9pm. The schedule can also be found on Arbiter. This is an opportunity for junior high and high school players to improve their skills and build team chemistry as we approach the fall season.

Remember, the more work you put in now, the more success you will reap this fall! Adopting a Championship Mindset starts now, not on Aug. 11th!

Parents,

We have created a Remind Group just for you to help communicate about fundraisers and any changes to the summer schedule. Feel free to join by texting “@etownso” to 81010.

Keep an eye out for Quad Camp sign up and additional details coming soon!

BLUEBERRY SALE FUNDRAISER 2025

Good Evening Everyone!

Thank you for all of those that attended the parent meeting last night. It was great meeting everyone and we are extremely grateful for all your support of the team this season. For those unable to attend, we as a coaching staff can’t wait to meet you soon and are very grateful for all of the support you are able to give to this team as well.

With that being said, I wanted to announce our first fundraiser of the summer, our annual Blueberry Sale! Attached is an order form and flyer with all the information you need to start selling. We highly encourage everyone to try and sell at least 10 boxes as the majority of the proceeds are going to help support the funding of our team camp at the end of July. Our overall goal is to sell 200 boxes as we have a donor willing to match up to $2,000 of proceeds, which will go a long way for supporting the needs of the team this year.

Payment should be made out to Molly Myers (Big E Boster Rep) and delivered to her by June 13th. Pick up will be June 26th at Wenger’s Meats (935 Groff Ave.) between 3:30pm-5:30pm. Both Middle School and High School families are encouraged to sell! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Coach Shuck (braydon_shuck@etownschools.org), Coach Wells (jereme_wells@etownschools.org), and/or Molly Myers (mmyers@mand.com).

More posts will be made over the next couple weeks regarding additional fundraisers and events discussed at the parent meeting last night. Again, thank you all for all the help and support you give to making this program the best it can be!

Important Dates!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Please make note of the following dates for the offseason.

Team Camps:

Quad Camp: June 16th-19th (7th-12th grade)
New Team Camp (TBD): July 27th-30th (9th-12th grade)

Unfortunately, we received word that Bucknell will no longer be offering their team camp this year. While this is sad news as it has been a long-standing tradition for us, we are committed to finding a new team camp that is equally as valuable (if not more) and already have several promising options for the end of July. More details about this new camp and Quad Camp will be passed along as we receive them. These team camps are pivotal to building team chemistry and setting us up for success as we prepare for the Fall season. We hope everyone can join us in these events.

CV Futsal Tournament:

Friendly reminder that the CV Futsal Tournament is on February 8th. We still have some spots open that we are looking to fill in order to register our two teams. If you are interested in playing, please fill out the form on the recent post titled “CV Futsal Tournament – 2/8” by next Thursday, the 30th.

Open Gym (1/26):

As you are aware, open gyms will begin this Sunday (1/26) in the Old High School Gym. However, this Sunday’s session has been moved up to 1pm – 2:30pm, in light of many people’s interests in watching the Eagles Game that afternoon (GO BIRDS!). The back doors used to enter Daubert/Training Room will be open for those attending. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Open Gym & Weightlifting Schedule

Good Evening Everyone,

The open gym and weightlifting schedule has been set for this winter/spring season. Please see the attached document for your reference. This is open to both High School and Middle School players.

We will be playing futsal in the Old High School Gym on Sundays from 3-4:30pm beginning January 26th. There is one exception where we will be playing from 4-5:30pm on 2/16.

Weightliftings will be held every Tuesday and Thursday right after school from 3-4:30pm in the new Field House Weightroom beginning on February 4th. All students will enter and exit through the Stadium gate next to the tennis courts.

In the words of the great Lionel Messi, “You have to fight to reach your dream. You have to sacrifice and work hard for it.”

What is your dream for this fall soccer season? How bad do you want it? … We can’t wait to find out!
