2025 Summer Workout Packet

Tomorrow kicks off the start of our summer schedule with our first open gym which runs from 7 – 9 pm on Jane Hoover turf. The location/ time may change from week to week so do not forget to check Arbiter for the time and location, the link can be found under the “2025 VARSITY AND JR HIGH SUMMER “OPEN GYM” SCHEDULE”. For all June events look at the bottom of the practice schedule for 2024-2025. For the rest of the summer schedule you will have to look at the 2025-26 practice schedule.

Coach Shuck and I have also revised the summer workout packet which will also begin tomorrow. It is found on the website under the “2025 Summer Fitness Workout Plan”. We strongly recommend that the boys follow this plan as best they can as it will get them ready for the demands of the soccer season. Any questions please do not hesitate to contact Coach Shuck and I.

Let’s get at it this summer and do the hard work now so that once the fall comes around we are ready to make some noise!! Go Bears!

Millersville Team Camp Update

Good Evening Everyone,

I am reposting this as a reminder to sign up for Millersville Team Camp asap! The latest we can accept payment is June 4th, so we can mail a check in to the camp director by the end of the week. The final cost will be $385 per player. Money and Player Registration form (page two on flyer below) must be sent to Molly Myers by next week. If you have expressed interest in going, but have not filled out the sign-up form below, please fill that out asap so we can keep track of all who are going. If cost is a concern or you have any questions, please email me (braydon_shuck@etownschools.org). This is a vital camp for our team success this year. Don’t miss out on this exceptional training opportunity!

Millersville Team Camp

As mentioned previously, our high school team camp will not be held at Bucknell this year. Instead, we will be attending camp at Millersville University. This will be a great replacement for Bucknell and run in the same fashion. Players will stay in dorms on campus for 4 days and 3 nights and receive high level coaching from a college coach who will work with our team all 4 days! There will also be team bonding activities, a college player symposium, and 4 scrimmages played against high level high schools across Eastern Pennsylvania. Reminder that the dates of the camp are July 27th-30th. Additional information can be found on the attached flyer.

I am pleased to announce will be contributing $100 a player from our Big E Booster Account again this year to help support those planning to attend camp. That will make the total cost per player $375 or $385 depending on how many players we send. With that said, if you plan on attending, I need to fill out the sign-up form below by May 26th so we know what our total numbers will be. Our goal is to send at least 22 players this year. Money will be collected by Molly Myers (Big E Booster Rep) by June 1st. Additionally, the second page of the attached flyer (bottom of page) will need to be completed and sent to Molly Myers along with payment to successfully register for the camp.

Remember this is for rising 9th-12th graders. No matter what grade you are entering, this will be a fantastic way to bond with your teammates, sharpen your skills, and begin to learn our style of play before preseason begins on Aug. 11th. Team camp in July has always helped prepare us immensely for the upcoming season, so I highly encourage all to participate. Any questions, feel free to reach out to Coach Shuck (braydon_shuck@etownschools.org) and Coach Wells (jereme_wells@etownschools.org).

Quad Camp

Good Evening!

Sorry for all the updates this week, but I’ve got one more for you. Quad Camp is just over a month away and we are very close to having all the details finalized. We have a great lineup of college coaches so far from Etown, LVC, York, Alvernia, Desales, Grove City, LBC, and a few more to be added soon! The camp will run Monday – Thursday June 16th-19th at the Hempfield Quads from 6-8:30pm. Each night both our middle school and high school teams will have the opportunity to work with a different college coach and scrimmage one of the other high/middle school teams attending (Hempfield, Manheim Central, Penn Manor).

Address: 300 Church St. Landisville, PA 17538

For those interested in playing college soccer, this is a great way to meet college coaches and put your skills on full display. For everyone, it is a great way to experience high level training from many different coaches with many different styles and start the summer off on the right foot as we look to build towards a successful fall season. Not to mention, have the ability to scrimmage against schools we will be playing against this fall!

Cost will be determined based upon how many players attend the camp. The more people we get, the less it will be for everyone. Assuming we have similar numbers to last year, it should be around the $45-55 range. Money will be collected upon arrival the first night of camp. In order to determine our numbers and final cost per player, I need everyone to sign up by filling out the form below as soon as possible (June 9th at the latest).

Remember this is for rising 7th-12th graders. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Summer Open Gym Schedule & Parent Remind

Good Evening Everyone,

Attached is the open gym schedule for the summer. We will be on either Jane Hoover Turf or Thompson Turf on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the summer, leading straight into our preseaon beginning on Aug. 11th. Make sure to check which field we are on before you arrive. Times ranging from 6-8pm to 7-9pm. The schedule can also be found on Arbiter. This is an opportunity for junior high and high school players to improve their skills and build team chemistry as we approach the fall season.

Remember, the more work you put in now, the more success you will reap this fall! Adopting a Championship Mindset starts now, not on Aug. 11th!

Parents,

We have created a Remind Group just for you to help communicate about fundraisers and any changes to the summer schedule. Feel free to join by texting “@etownso” to 81010.

Keep an eye out for Quad Camp sign up and additional details coming soon!

BLUEBERRY SALE FUNDRAISER 2025

Good Evening Everyone!

Thank you for all of those that attended the parent meeting last night. It was great meeting everyone and we are extremely grateful for all your support of the team this season. For those unable to attend, we as a coaching staff can’t wait to meet you soon and are very grateful for all of the support you are able to give to this team as well.

With that being said, I wanted to announce our first fundraiser of the summer, our annual Blueberry Sale! Attached is an order form and flyer with all the information you need to start selling. We highly encourage everyone to try and sell at least 10 boxes as the majority of the proceeds are going to help support the funding of our team camp at the end of July. Our overall goal is to sell 200 boxes as we have a donor willing to match up to $2,000 of proceeds, which will go a long way for supporting the needs of the team this year.

Payment should be made out to Molly Myers (Big E Boster Rep) and delivered to her by June 13th. Pick up will be June 26th at Wenger’s Meats (935 Groff Ave.) between 3:30pm-5:30pm. Both Middle School and High School families are encouraged to sell! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Coach Shuck (braydon_shuck@etownschools.org), Coach Wells (jereme_wells@etownschools.org), and/or Molly Myers (mmyers@mand.com).

More posts will be made over the next couple weeks regarding additional fundraisers and events discussed at the parent meeting last night. Again, thank you all for all the help and support you give to making this program the best it can be!

Parent Meeting 4/22

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Reposting this as a reminder that our parent meeting is tonight! The main entrance will be open from 6:45pm-7:15pm. After you proceed through the double doors the LGI will be the first room on your left as you walk down the center hallway.

Although Spring has just begun, the Summer is right around the corner. With a full offseason schedule of open gyms, team camps, and fundraisers planned, we will be holding a parents meeting to discuss the summer schedule in greater detail and answer any questions you may have. The meeting will be held in the High School LGI on Tuesday 4/22 from 7-8pm. See you then!

Weekend Update (2/8-2/9)

Good Morning Everyone,

Please note the following updates for the CV Futsal Tournament tomorrow and Open Gym on Sunday.

CV Futsal Tournament:

For those signed up for the CV Futsal Tournament tomorrow, please check the email address you signed up with for all the necessary details. The most important thing you will need to bring with you is the signed tournament waiver. I have attached it to this post as well for your reference.

Please also know that you are expected to wear full soccer equipment, which includes socks and shin guards. We are playing in a gymnasium so make sure to wear indoor cleats or sneakers. For our jersey’s we will wear our black warm ups from last season. Please bring a white (preferably etown) shirt as well as a backup. Goalies, make sure to bring all your gear (gloves, goalie jersey, etc).

Our first game will take place at 9:30am, so please arrive at 8:45am so we can warm up and check in. All games will be played at Conestoga Valley High School: 2110 Horseshoe Rd. Lancaster, PA. 17601. It will be a round robin style tournament to determine seeding. We are guaranteed 3 games before playoffs begin at 1pm, in which case it is then single elimination. There will be a concession stand available throughout the day.

The cost will be $20 a player. I will front the tournament fee and collect payment from everyone upon arrival. Therefore, if you prefer to write a check it can be made out to myself (Braydon Shuck), but if you prefer cash, I will accept that as well.

Please let myself or Coach Wells know if you have any other questions. We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow!

Open Gym:

Open gym on Sunday 2/9 has been cancelled. Rest up after playing in the CV Tournament. Enjoy the Super Bowl. Go Birds!

Support our fellow Etown Athletes

The Etown Bocce team is looking for supporters to come out to their home game on Monday Feb. 3rd. It is their senior night and the ceremony will begin at 3:10 pm with the match beginning at 3:30 pm.

If we want people to come to our matches and support we need to go to theirs and support them at theirs. Coach Wells will be so there let’s get as many boys out as we can!
