Important Dates!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Please make note of the following dates for the offseason.

Team Camps:

Quad Camp: June 16th-19th (7th-12th grade)
New Team Camp (TBD): July 27th-30th (9th-12th grade)

Unfortunately, we received word that Bucknell will no longer be offering their team camp this year. While this is sad news as it has been a long-standing tradition for us, we are committed to finding a new team camp that is equally as valuable (if not more) and already have several promising options for the end of July. More details about this new camp and Quad Camp will be passed along as we receive them. These team camps are pivotal to building team chemistry and setting us up for success as we prepare for the Fall season. We hope everyone can join us in these events.

CV Futsal Tournament:

Friendly reminder that the CV Futsal Tournament is on February 8th. We still have some spots open that we are looking to fill in order to register our two teams. If you are interested in playing, please fill out the form on the recent post titled “CV Futsal Tournament – 2/8” by next Thursday, the 30th.

Open Gym (1/26):

As you are aware, open gyms will begin this Sunday (1/26) in the Old High School Gym. However, this Sunday’s session has been moved up to 1pm – 2:30pm, in light of many people’s interests in watching the Eagles Game that afternoon (GO BIRDS!). The back doors used to enter Daubert/Training Room will be open for those attending. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Open Gym & Weightlifting Schedule

Good Evening Everyone,

The open gym and weightlifting schedule has been set for this winter/spring season. Please see the attached document for your reference. This is open to both High School and Middle School players.

We will be playing futsal in the Old High School Gym on Sundays from 3-4:30pm beginning January 26th. There is one exception where we will be playing from 4-5:30pm on 2/16.

Weightliftings will be held every Tuesday and Thursday right after school from 3-4:30pm in the new Field House Weightroom beginning on February 4th. All students will enter and exit through the Stadium gate next to the tennis courts.

In the words of the great Lionel Messi, “You have to fight to reach your dream. You have to sacrifice and work hard for it.”

What is your dream for this fall soccer season? How bad do you want it? … We can’t wait to find out!

CV Futsal Tournament – 2/8

Good evening and Happy New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday break.

With the new year comes many opportunities for us to sharpen ourselves as a team as we prepare for the upcoming Fall Season. One of those opportunities is the Annual Conestoga Valley Futsal Tournament. Those that participated last year experienced high-level competition against teams in the Lancaster-Lebanon League, many of which were our direct section competitors. Not only is this tournament a great way to reinforce valuable skills such as first touch, receiving across our body, and how to operate in tight spaces, but it is also a fantastic way to build team chemistry and leave our mark on the league as we will inevitably face these teams in the fall season. Last year we got knocked out in the quarter finals. Let’s make a name for ourselves this year and take home the Championship!

For those that are interested in participating, please fill out the sign-up form below. We plan on registering 2 teams this year, which will allow for a maximum of 20 players. This tournament is open to current 9-11th graders and will start at 9am on Saturday, February 8th, and will conclude around 5pm (or earlier if we are knocked out before the finals). The cost will be $150 per team and will be split evenly among those participating. Therefore, if we can get 10 people for each team, it will only cost $15 a player. All games will be played in the gymnasium at Conestoga Valley High School (2110 Horseshoe Rd. Lancaster, PA 17601).

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to myself (braydon_shuck@etownschools.org) and Coach Wells (jereme_wells@etownschools.org). More posts to come soon regarding additional offseason opportunities.
